Mixed in with the Press Kit from the Mobile World Congress today is a backgrounder on Nokia’s partnership with Carl Zeiss, who makes the optics used in most of Nokia’s Nseries smartphones. On this backgrounder is a crystal-clear image of the next photography powerhouse from Nokia, the N86, with its stunning 8 megapixel autofocus camera, obviously using Carl Zeiss optics, and a Xenon flash.

The styling of this N86, which for whatever reason wasn’t officially announced at Nokia’s earlier press conference, looks similar to the N97, hinting at the next iteration of the Nseries styling. Obviously it’s a slider, and from the looks of it, not a touchscreen, which I think is very interesting.
