Micky has written one of the most in-depth article that I have come across for the Nokia n97. Micky encompasses a fullreview and overview after owning the n97 for several weeks. Micky's recommendation is that the n97 is a phone suitable for emails, those who like to share photos, bloggers, social networking etc but feels for the business orientated, a more powerful device is needed.

Micky mentions the good along withthe bad. I however, disagree with all the bad acknowledgments, in particular, understanding nokia's viewpoint of not including the tv out cable. The vast majority of users do not use the cable and in nokia's new standpoint of reducing the packaging and excess from nokia phones, it is something I agree with. I have yet to come across the bugs associated with this device, although I have had an almighty crash due to a faulty application installation. Read my topic on 'no 3-key format' coming tomorrow.

"Breathing Light.

There is a breathing light which emits around the only hardware key on the front of the N97 when in standby, but on some devices, mine included, a second breathing light is visible at the top of the front, inside the top of the Ambient light sensor."

The breathing light within the ambient light sensor is something I was unaware of, but I am able to confirm that yes, it is in my black n97 with v10 firmware. Follow the link below to read the full article.

On a side note unrelated to Micky's review but related to his article, the more images I see of the white n97 with its awful back-lighting on the keypad, yours included, I continue to see the benefits I have had since returning my own in preference for the black n97. Do any of you users have a preference for one colour over another?

The jury is still out on how to compliment my new student life status approaching very soon. My Dilemma! Whether to use in totality the nokia n97, a combination of the n97 and e90 or to go down the micro laptop avenue as an additional playmate alongsidemy nokia n97. Are there any users who would like to comment on how you have approached the student life or dealt with the opportune moments of a couple of hours here and there, coffee shops, library access or a long bus/train journey as an ideal idle time to construct those essays/assignments.
