The Dext will be social-friendly networker enabling easy access to Twitter, Facebook and email. With a five megapixel camera, qwerty keyboard, touch screen, GPS, high-speed internet access and a full web browser. Motorola has been losing ground in recent years to Nokia and Sony Ericsson and its most famous handset the Razr was launched back in 2005. It is hoped the Dext will run head-to-head with the Palm Pre and Apple's iPhone. Motoblur is the key to the Dext's new user interface building on the Android operating system to keep you permanently connected to a range of social-networking sites, photos and emails. Vice president for Motorola, Ralf Gerbershagen, said "Todays mobile phone needs to be more than just smart. It needs to be social…" further more he added "Motoblur is the next-general user interface specifically targeted to people who are already into social networking at the moment. Available exclusively from Orange, the Dext will be available in the UK next month.
