BlackBerry Pushes Motorola Out of the Top 5
BlackBerry celebrates its new position in the Top 5 sales of mobile phones, while Motorola slips down a place to make room for the 'new-boy' who is now tied with Sony Ericsson in 4th place. 


In the first quarter RIM shipped 10.6 million phones worldwide, says research firm IDC.  Nokia, in 1st position with 107.8 million phones this this first quarter remains a huge leap away from the second closest Samsung with 64.3 million.  IDC stated "strong consumer adoption, particularly among text-crazy teens, has also fueled demand for BlackBerry devices."
