Weather app Fahrenheit does what every other weather app has failed to do – placed an icon badge displaying the current temperature.The app works on the iPad, iPod and iPhone. Open the app and it gives you more weather information including a 10-day forecast, UV index, sunrise and sunset and more. The app costs $0.99/£0.59.

Note: The Fahrenheit app does not display the weather in Celsius. There is a Celsius version available  - so do make sure you purchase the correct version based on your preference.

I personally am not a red-dot lover and so I have most of my notifications switched off on my apps barring the essentials such  as email, texts and missed calls.
