Apple has been issued with a lawsuit over its in-app purchase policy. Garen Meguerian filed the suit after his 9 year old purchased virtual currency in several free iOS games.
The cost amounted to $200. The lawsuit reads “These games are highly addictive, designed deliberately so, and tend to compel children playing them to purchase large quantities of game currency”.
Apple has since updated the parental controls in the iO 4.3 update.
What measures do you take to avoid the same situation with children playing games on your phone? Is it, your responsibility to accept the damage that may come from issuing your account password to your child?
