The National Rural Health Mission (HRHM), Meghalaya, health department has been a pioneer in joint collaboration with cell phone companies. The method is to send furious messages across the board saying, “Breastfeed your child up to the age of two years” … “If you have fever go for a blood test immediately. It could be malaria” and other such health advisories. Yesterday I got a message saying, “Ensure good health for mother and child. Space births for three years apart”.
