Apple is calling a news event on 4 October 2011.  The latest rumour which we are sure is the ‘real thing’ this time around is for a press media release. However, the question still hanging on everyone’s lips is will it be the iPhone 4S a slimmed down version of a forthcoming iPhone 5 with a few improvements to the present iPhone 4?

Fearful of the iPhone 4 launch shenanigans, which some still view as the ‘best’ pre-launch and advertising campaign that one could ask for – Apple is attempting to control the situation by holding the event on the home ground of Cupertino. Tim Cook, the successor to Steve Jobs is to produce the juicy details next week.

The new iPhone 4S/5 is expected to have an 8 megapixel camera with flash, full notification system and the long eagerly awaited iMessage and iCloud.
